#i love these two's friendship so much #the ladies are hands down my favourite thing about the hour #how they exist within the very rigid gender roles prescribed to them within late 1950's society but never descend into caricature #they are their own women #and it's a tribute to abi morgan that she never pits them against one another #even though marnie and bel engage in relationships with the same man neither let it define them #and although it in part defines their relationship #the bulk of it comes from their judgements about the choices the other made #bel rowley #hbic #lix storm #flaw free ladies #the hour #*
